Since 1973, Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County has been providing in-home services to the seniors of Fairfield County to improve the quality of their lives and enable independent living for as long as safely possible.  Our work is an important and necessary part of the continuum of care for older adults and their families. With over twenty-five varied programs and services, Meals on Wheels Fairfield County serves as a network of support for thousands of older adults living in Fairfield County ensuring health, connection, and independence.

Who we are looking for and what you will do.
Meals on Wheels is looking for an outgoing, self-motivated and empathetic HR Generalist to run the daily functions of the HR department. You will get to:
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with other departments to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Administer and execute HR programs such as occupational health and safety, FMLA, COBRA, unemployment, medical, life and voluntary insurance programs and retirement.
  • Develop and implement quarterly staff and volunteer training and education.
  • Connect with the community to build goodwill and engagement.
