Making Our Community Heart Safe through The Snider Community Heart Watch Program
When someone has a sudden cardiac arrest, every second counts. Survival often depends on quick bystander intervention while waiting for emergency medical personnel to arrive. Unfortunately, many bystanders are unprepared to jump in and provide life-saving care – which is exactly why the Snider Community Heart Watch was formed by Fairfield Medical Center and first responders throughout Fairfield, Hocking and Perry Counties. Its objective is to better prepare individuals, schools and businesses to respond to cardiac medical emergencies by promoting the importance of bystander intervention, providing CPR training and improving access to AEDs. All to make our community more heart safe.
Join Dr Lazarus to learn more about some exciting initiatives Snider Community Heart Watch has underway, including a regional heart attack network, the new PulsePoint AED app, Heart Safe Business Accreditation and our plans for placing additional AEDs in the community. See how you and your business can help save lives in our community!
