Gardener/Support Staff (Part-Time)

Have a green thumb itching to work on a commercial property? Come grow with us and work in a fun, energetic environment! Be a friendly, helpful face able to encourage fun and engaging play for families. We are educating children in a world of discovery, curiosity, and imagination through hands-on play.

This is a part-time position. Available to work between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Tuesday-Saturday.

Primary job duties:

• Upkeep and maintenance of AHA! garden beds and outside walkways
• Planning, weeding, planting, and harvesting
• Helping small children discover the joy in gardening
• Customer service
• Operating point of sale
• Maintaining a clean environment for guests
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to explain gardening concepts to guests is a plus
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds, use garden tools, work outside in a variety of weather conditions, use a broom or vacuum
• Must be able to bend and reach, and stand for several hours at a time
• Ability to tolerate a noisy work environment and calmly interact with families is necessary

Pay: $12.00 per hour.
Candidates must be willing to submit to a background check as part of the employment process.
