    The After School Programs of Lancaster is seeking After School Program Assistants:

    Qualifications:
    Baccalaureate Degree or life/work experience that would equate. Knowledge of and/or experience with at-risk student learning needs, curriculum, and instruction. Experience working with people, especially volunteers. Ability to complete tasks of educational assistance as directed by Site Director. Ability to complete tasks of program support as defined and directed by the Executive Director or designee. Ability to provide instruction to an at-risk child/ren at the direction of the Site Director. Ability to manage and complete reports as needed. Must complete background check, medical, and complete training in child abuse prevention, CPR and First Aid, communicable diseases, and other requirements of ODJFS. Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Executive Director or Site Director may find appropriate and acceptable.

    Reports to: Site Director

    Goals:
    To perform duties of assistance in support of the Community Learning Center Site Director and as assigned by the Executive Director or designee.

    Responsibilities:
    Open and close, and maintain security of the center or delegate responsibilities as requested by the Site Director or the Executive Director. Assist with the solicitation of volunteers for the programs sponsored by the Learning Center or the After School Center. Assist with the preparation of curricular materials and program activities as directed. Support the daily cleaning needs of the building. Adhere to all policies as approved by the Board of Directors and Lancaster City Schools. Maintain confidentiality of information pertaining to individual students and families of the childcare programs. Attend service provider/staff meetings, develop, maintain, and provide timely reports and records to the Site Director or Board of Directors as directed by the Executive Director. Work in collaboration with community agencies for the betterment of the programs of the After School Center and other after school programs with Lancaster City Schools. Work cooperatively and in collaboration with the principal, staff, volunteers, parents, and students of the assigned Elementary School. Assume other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Site Director, the Executive Director and/or the Board of Directors.

    Work Schedule: 
    hourly contract scheduled before and after school in conjunction with the before and after school program and other activities. Fiscal year July 1-June
