Calling All Volunteers!
Are you looking for opportunities to give-back to a local cause? The All-Accessible Sports Complex is hosting an informational session about the project and ways folks can get involved in the project on Tuesday, March 14, at the Fairfield County District Library in Lancaster.
What is the All-Accessible Sports Complex?
The All-Accessible Sports Complex - currently planned for construction along Granville Pike (State Route 37) next to the Forest Rose School in Lancaster - will provide an openly accessible environment for those with developmental disabilities, and to perform physical and social activities with their peer groups on a regular basis. The complex would include the following activities for children of all abilities: Soccer, baseball, softball, kickball, basketball, bocce ball, tennis, and beach volleyball.
Information will be provided on how members of the community can help with the project, including promotional, financial, and general needs. Plans are being made for community-based fundraising events and activities to help raise awareness for the All-Accessible Sports Complex. Input from potential volunteers and project donors are appreciated during the session.
