Decorative Arts Center of Ohio's Make your Mark Summer Camp
Here is an opportunity to explore four different methods of printing. Students will have the artistic satisfaction of creating their own stamps to be used over and over again on a variety of surfaces. On the second day, an introduction to the art of Batik will lead students to create one-of-a-kind patterns on a fabric apron they can wear to create art for many years to come. Students will learn the art of making their own cyanotypes (the oldest form of photography) and will use found objects and botanical items to create unique prints. On the last day of camp, students will create dry point etchings and print their creations with an antique press.
