Lancaster City Council has scheduled a special meeting for Monday, June 17 at 7:00 p.m. in Council chambers to offer the public an opportunity to learn more about City finances.

David Ivan and the OSU students' presentations of recent weeks were both well-received and well-attended. Council has expressed support for a continuation of forums of this nature to educate and communicate. During the recent street levy campaign, it was abundantly clear once again that many residents do not understand City finances. The special meeting will be lead by Councilman Tom Stoughton, Chair of the Finance Committee, and will run for perhaps 60 to 90 minutes, including questions.

If well-attended and deemed a success, Council and Administration will offer additional programs on other aspects of City government.
