First Annual "Our Town" 5k Race

The Our Town Committee, which represents citizens of Village of Sugar Grove and Berne Township have joined together to host the first annual “Our Town” 5k Race on Saturday, June 29th, 2013 in Sugar Grove, Ohio. The race will take place before the Village’s Annual Independence Day Parade with registration opening at 7 am and the race scheduled to begin at 8 am. “The race is a wonderful way for the community to come together and contribute to our town,” said race organizer, Jolyn Pugh. “We hope to welcome friends and family who are visiting for the Independence Day celebration and wish to take part.” The race will benefit the community park, making the area an even lovelier place to live. Funds raised at the event will contribute to the upkeep of ball diamonds, the creation of a new walking path, and improvements in playground areas.
