Each participant in the AlternaCare Blood Drive will receive a one-day admission ticket to the 2010 Fairfield County Fair. Participants also may enter to win weekly Columbus Blue Jackets prize packs with game tickets, a Zamboni ride at a Jackets game, or an LCD television. Additionally, blood donors may register online with Red Cross Racing, a program where individuals can report their blood donations and get points that can be exchanged for exclusive NASCAR® racing gear and collectibles. Stroke Support Group Annual Picnic

Anyone interested in joining this group for stroke survivors and their caregivers is invited to attend. Participants are asked to bring a main dish and a side dish or salad to share and their own tableware. AlternaCare provides drinks, ice and cake. Studies show that a large number of individuals within the prison system are people with disabilities. Information shows how the various systems serving incarcerated individuals with disabilities have not address their rights to equal access to programs and services, as well as the removal of physical barriers or provision of effective communication. This session will explore the strides that have been made and strategies implemented within the corrections community to address the rights of individuals with disabilities while retaining its focus on imposing punishment.
